Две лошади везли два воза. Передняя лошадь везла хорошо, а задняя останавливалась. На переднюю лошадь стали поклажу перекладывать с заднего воза; когда все переложили, задняя лошадь пошла налегке и сказала передней:
«Мучься и потей. Что больше будешь стараться, то больше тебя будут мучить».
Когда приехали на постоялый двор, хозяин и говорит:
«Что мне двух лошадей кормить, а на одной возить, лучше одной дам вволю корму, а ту зарежу: хоть шкуру возьму».
Так и сделал.
