La représentation sera interrompue une première fois sans que le rideau se baisse, quand le Directeur-chef de troupe et le chef des personnages se retireront pour établir le scénario et que les Acteurs évacueront le plateau ; et elle s’interrompra une seconde fois lorsque, par erreur, le Machiniste baissera le rideau.
En entrant dans la salle, les spectateurs trouveront le rideau levé et le plateau tel qu’il est de jour, sans portants ni décor, vide et dans une quasi-obscurité : cela pour qu’ils aient, dès le début, l’impression d’un spectacle non préparé.
